View moved to shop 5, Old Village, Constantia

On the 1 November, I received the key to what was going to my new skin care clinic in Constantia. I could not help thinking back to that beautiful Monday morning 2 August 2004  (9 years ago), when I turned the key and opened the door to my small but beautifully decorated clinic in Fish Hoek. So long ago but yet so fresh in my mind.

Mid January 2009 after deciding that I wanted to expand my services, I moved my clinic to Westlake. With its lovely tranquil French finish, it has given me many happy and cosy times. A clinic with lots of light and space. It was with sheer pleasure and a smile that I did treatments in my lovely comfy treatment room.

Then came 2013 and I needed to think about my future in skin care. I wanted to grow the clinic so that I could appoint another therapist and ultimately get to the stage where I could manage the clinic but also have some freedom to pursue my hobbies as well. Although I don’t I see that happening just yet this may be the next step in making this idea to come to fruition!

It was with some surprise that I heard about shop space opening in Old Village, Constantia and I decided to take that big step in moving my clinic. A lot of planning and excitement with the shop fitter and Sharon my interior decorator – colour, shape and sound came together and on 15 November 2013 we opened the doors to a funky, modern clinic.

Getting there

Stressfull! Night before opening still no front desk! Kenan our friendly IT guy making sure we get connected.

Signage up. Nerve wracking because only a few hours to go!

Opening day for View in Constantia

Sparkling wine for the special occasion!

Bubbles flowed and our wonderful representatives from the 3 product houses Dermalogica, DMK and Environ came to visit bringing beautiful flowers, compliments and smiles!  Taking a break I sat down to have a toast with Tori the DMK representative and look at the end result. I also thought about my Dad in Namibia and other members of the family and absent friends who couldn’t be there but were thinking of us at this start of a new chapter.
